Showcase: Martha’s vineyard

Landscapes - Town Study - Macro

Menemsha - a study

There are two places I’ve been to that have stolen my focus so completely: Valparaíso, Chile, and Menemsha in Martha’s Vineyard. Both show something strikingly similar in its contrast between wealth, beauty, and attention. Valparaíso, for instance, is a city built between its stunning hills and its colorless interior (of course my memory reduces my experience to this dichotomy, so this is not a complete picture). In Menemsha you can both shop at galleries and watch fishermen labor.

This contrast proves to be my favorite thing to capture. What else describes unseen details better than having (wealth) allowing us to skip over needing (work)?
