Philadelphia

How can I capture a city I live in? It’s a strange question—of course it is easy because it’s accessible daily to move around places I know and exist in. But here’s my challenge: the dullness of a commute masks the beauty of the buildings you pass.

I have divided this section into multiple parts; I begin with the Barnes Foundation because it is generically perfect, moving to various shots of that dullness isolated, then to more classic Philly exposures, followed by views I have found to be wonderful. At the end I have a series of photographs I am not in love with, but wanted to include.

This section will have both film and digital, though separated on those lines. I will continue updating this page and may eventually make this a folder for more neighborhood or focused shooting.
