I went to Rapa Nui (Easter Island) in May of 2024, very early on in the development of my photographic eye. Some photos foreshadow what would become my style, others are more ‘experimental’ (though not in a any technical way, just as a means to photograph something I’d consider beautiful). “Twin Heads,” for instance, has been my favorite photo from this trip since I took it, while “Twin Boats” (no relation) I only downloaded three years after I took it, having mistook this for a B-Photo.

All of that to say, when I think about my few days here, I wish I took more. I have memories that I wish I could see. This is also the point of photography, right? To imagine just as much as seeing!
