I have never done film before. I teach about iPhone photography and had the reverse-bias against film, seeing it as pretentious.

That is, until I tried it.

I still think about film as a form of photography rather than it being better than the others, of course. But boy do I now enjoy taking these photos!

This set is from a $20 Fujifilm disposable camera I took around for about 30 minutes. I tried to draw a scene with each shot, using the light to add emotional depth, cars and people as vehicles for motion, and a highlighted emphasis on leading lines.

I had no idea what to expect, but I’m fairly happy with these:)
